Position title: MA Student
Jesikah is a third-year dual degree Juris Doctor / MA Gender & Women’s Studies candidate. Prior to returning to school, she worked at Planned Parenthood Empire State Acts doing advocacy, legislative and electoral work in Albany, NY. She is a 2016 graduate of Allegheny College where she double majored in Political Science and Women’s Studies. Currently, Jesikah serves as the Editor-in-Chief of the Wisconsin Journal of Law, Gender & Society.
Her academic interests focus on government regulation/interaction with reproductive and sexual bodies and economies. She has explored topics such as police violence towards sex workers, legal definitions of motherhood in surrogacy cases, and more.
