Position title: Teaching Assistant
Orion Lee Risk explores the political and social impacts of theatre and performance through the perspectives of performance studies, feminist and gender studies, and the ethics of care. Their recent performance work includes crafting the documentary script GenderTalks, creating the project design for TransTheatreFest–Madison, and producing and directing as founding artistic director of Scene D Theatre Project. During their seven years as resident assistant director with Lampost Theatre Company, Orion assisted with a dozen original musical productions, led acting and movement workshops, and toured across the United States. A PhD student in Interdisciplinary Theatre Studies, Orion holds a Masters in ITS and a Graduate Certificate in Gender and Women’s Studies from UW–Madison.
