GWS and LGTBQ+ Studies Graduates

Delaney Drake
The world was structured to benefit some, and to push down many, we must help build society to benefit everyone.

Camika Hurdle
With my GWS education, I will continue to uplift and empower Black feminist voices.

Alicia Lorta
GWS has taught me that my learning is never over and to continue to strive to be a more socially conscious person. I have gained a well-rounded understanding of the people and spaces around me, and gained tools for empathy, care, and inclusivity.

Talia Thielbar
I have learned so much about how to treat others with respect by learning about different people and cultures which has allowed me to grow my empathy for others immensely.

Nihan Zhou

Anika Gupta
With my Gender and Women's Studies education, I aim to become a culturally competent professor. It is often difficult for individuals in science fields to understand the significance of GWS, and I aim to change such views.

Kordan Kopp
GWS has taught me how important it is to understand the people around us. I am able to understand who I am in comparison to the rest of world, and this knowledge will be useful to me for the rest of my life.

Nicole Meerbrey
With my GWS education, I will work to limit disparities in the field of Veterinary Medicine. I aspire to make resources and medical care more accessible to all types of communities, and remain open-minded, empathetic and and understanding.

Brooke Wilczewski
No matter how much I think I know, it is never the entire story.

Ashley Hofstetter
With my GWS education, I will take all the knowledge I have gained with me on my journey to medical school to provide inclusive and comprehensive care to all my patients.

Roberta Keller
With my GWS education, I will continue to kick ass and queer the institutions around me.

Abril Pereznegron
With my GWS education, I will do my part to make spaces within schools inclusive. I will challenge policies to make them gender neutral and make sure that they represent everyone.

Lauren Yoder
This department has taught me what it means to be a well-rounded person who is ready for the real world, and it has shown me what kindness, understanding, and growth can look like.
