Jamie Gratrix

Jamie joined the Department of Gender & Women’s Studies (GWS) in September 2021, bringing a deep commitment to equity, care-centered leadership, and collaborative systems change.  Prior to GWS, Jamie held a leadership role with Mental Health Services at University Health Services, where she provided strategic guidance and project management expertise in support of student well-being and belonging. As GWS Department Administrator, Jamie leads the day-to-day operations of the department, overseeing personnel, budgetary, and organizational processes while advancing inclusive, sustainable, and well-documented administrative practices that support continuity and shared institutional knowledge. Outside of work, Jamie finds balance through writing fiction, making her friends laugh, and sitting quietly with her cats.
