Kelsey Q. Wright is a PhD candidate in the Sociology Department at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where she is affiliated with the Center for Demography and Ecology (CDE). Her work at UW-Madison centers around the application of demographic methods to compelling, modern research questions around gender and fertility in transnational contexts. Prior to pursuing her PhD, Kelsey worked at the Population Council for five years on The Evidence Project – a global family planning research project; prior to this she worked with USAID, Jhpiego, UNAIDS and a number of university-based research projects. She holds an MSPH in International Health from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and a BA in Social Anthropology from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.
