We are excited to share a short video (<2 min), by UW-Madison student and course participant Nia Cayenne, about the Summer 2019 Morocco-Spain Course. The video is titled “UW Global Health and Human Rights Training in Spain and Morocco to Combat Sex-Trafficking.”
Taught by Dr. Araceli Alonso and Esperanza Jorge, this undergraduate summer course uses tools from the sciences and the humanities to identify and rehabilitate victims and survivors of human trafficking from Nigeria who are still in transit (Casablanca and Rabat), and to train staff of organizations in Spain on Nigerian trafficking. Many of the students who took the course are GWS majors or certificates at UW-Madison.
This undergraduate course counts towards the undergraduate certificate in Global Health and programs in Gender and Women’s Studies.
