Their goals were to ensure that students are provided with the most up-to-date findings and interested new discoveries on all things sexuality, particularly when it comes to new laws, studies, social shifts, terminology changes, updates stats, new medications and treatment, etc. They also worked to make sure that the content was accessible to undergraduate students and that information offered is based in rigorous and reliable scientific research. The textbook also works to encourage students’ critical thinking skills through analysis of different kinds of research and methodological approaches to studying and understanding sexuality, which are women throughout the presentation of findings.
